As Senior Program Manager, Cost Down Engine, you will own and drive Danfoss ACR’s global cost reduction agenda. This is a high-impact program leadership role where you orchestrate complex, cross-functional initiatives that directly impact profitability, portfolio decisions, and long-term competitiveness.
This is not a people management role. Instead, success comes from your ability to lead through influence, connect strategy to execution, and ensure disciplined delivery across regions, functions, and stakeholders.
Your role & impact
You will have global ownership of the Cost Down Engine (CDE) and act as the central program lead ensuring cost-down initiatives are prioritized, executed, and translated into measurable financial results.
Working closely with Portfolio, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and Procurement leaders, you will embed cost considerations across the entire product lifecycle — from early idea generation and NPD to industrialization and execution.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and deliver the global cost-down target for ACR with clear, documented financial impact
- Lead the end-to-end Cost Down Engine program, including governance, prioritization, milestones, and execution follow-up
- Set direction and priorities for cost-down activities across global manufacturing regions
- Act as a strategic advisor to Portfolio Directors, identifying cost optimization opportunities across products and platforms
- Drive a strong and continuously refreshed pipeline of cost-down initiatives
- Facilitate and support idea generation and cost-down workshops across the organization
- Partner with Finance on KPI tracking, reporting, and business case validation
- Ensure transparency, progress visibility, and best-practice sharing across regions and teams
- Embed cost discipline into portfolio strategy, supply chain decisions, and NPD processes
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or similar
- 5–7+ years of experience in program management, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, or product management
- Proven track record in cost optimization, complex program execution, and change leadership
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to translate initiatives into measurable business impact
- Highly skilled in stakeholder management and comfortable leading in a global matrix organization
- Structured, persistent, and able to balance strategy with hands-on execution
