Danfoss Climate Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our multicultural team in Italy. In this role, you will lead high impact projects within our Commercial Compressor Electronics division, delivering innovative electronic control solutions that enhance customer satisfaction, accelerate decarbonization, and support Danfoss’ growth in Europe and beyond.
You will work as part of our engineering team, collaborating closely with Product Management, Manufacturing, Customer Support and Sales, taking full ownership of project portfolio planning and execution. By driving prioritization, ensuring alignment across functions, and maintaining clear governance, you will help shape a more sustainable future.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading multiple projects across the full lifecycle, from initiation to delivery.
- Defining scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and success criteria, ensuring projects deliver measurable business value.
- Coordinating cross functional teams across R&D, Product, Operations, Quality, and Commercial functions.
- Facilitating workshops, sprint planning, and steering committees to maintain transparency, alignment, and momentum.
- Managing customer requirements in close collaboration with Product Managers to ensure they are captured, prioritized, and delivered within project scope
- Overseeing risk assessments, resource planning, and budgeting to optimize efficiency and proactively address challenges.
- Promoting continuous improvement by enhancing ways of working, tools, and templates.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within industrial, HVAC&R, or related engineering environments.
- Educational background in Engineering (Electronic, Automation, Telecom, Software) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex cross functional projects with strong stakeholder management up to senior leadership level.
- Excellent planning, risk management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance speed, quality, and cost.
- Strong communication and facilitation abilities, comfortable navigating ambiguity and organizational complexity.
- Experience with Agile, hybrid, or stage gate environments.
- Professional fluency in English; Italian language skills are an advantage.
