The Impact You'll Make

The Shipping Coordinator is a critical member of the Danfoss operations team, responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely shipment of all outbound products. This role oversees daily shipping logistics, coordinates with internal departments and external partners, and drives continuous improvement within shipping processes to meet operational and customer expectations.

This is a 1st Shift position, working 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

This position requires the use of information or access to technology which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be US persons within the meaning of ITAR/EAR. ITAR/EAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Shipping & Logistics Coordination

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all outbound shipments (LTL, parcel, and international).
  • Route shipments using approved carriers, including UPS, FedEx, and freight providers.
  • Prepare and generate accurate Bills of Lading (BOL) and shipping documentation.
  • Resolve carrier issues, delays, and discrepancies in a timely manner.

International & Domestic Shipping Compliance

  • Manage all required documentation for international shipments (commercial invoices, export paperwork, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable shipping regulations and company standards.

System & Transaction Management

  • Utilize SAP to process shipping transactions, maintain shipment records, and complete daily reporting.
  • Perform end-of-day shipping reconciliation and sales reporting within SAP.

Packaging & Material Management

  • Oversee packaging operations for both small parcel and freight shipments.
  • Order and maintain inventory of shipping supplies, including packaging materials, lumber, and crates.
  • Ensure proper packaging methods to protect product integrity and meet customer requirements.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shipping-related inquiries from customers, carriers, and internal departments.
  • Coordinate subcontract shipments and routing requirements.
  • Work closely with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to meet delivery commitments.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify and implement improvements to shipping processes, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Maintain organized shipping files and documentation for compliance and audit readiness.
  • Address and escalate safety concerns within the shipping area.

Training & Support

  • Assist in training team members on shipping procedures, systems, and best practices.
  • Support department goals through collaboration and operational excellence

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in shipping, logistics, or coordination role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Forklift certification and/or experience with overhead hoist operation
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures
