Danfoss is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to join us at our Shawnee, OK location. The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading all end-to-end supply chain activities at our motors manufacturing site in Shawnee, Oklahoma, US, ensuring reliable material flow, optimized inventory, and strong delivery performance.
The role translates global supply chain strategy into local execution, drives operational excellence across planning and procurement, and ensures full integration of SAP-based processes to enable data-driven decision-making and execution discipline.
This position acts as a key member of the site leadership team, balancing strategic direction with hands-on operational control to deliver on cost, service, and working capital targets.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Manages plant supply chain performance, including quality, cost and on-time delivery performance
- Manages the supply chain team to support on-time delivery and productivity goals for the plant
- Understands the MRP/ERP functions and rules and continuously drives for improvements in the system (usage, accuracy, compliance, etc.) and integration into the manufacturing process
- Manages and reviews inputs (SIOP and profit planning) and controls (min./max. levels, ROPs, lead times, etc.) of the ordering process to ensure that inventory levels (purchase parts – Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI), in-transit, C-Level, consignment inventory, etc.) meet plant, division and corporate expectations
- Balances and coordinates the workloads and responsibilities of the employees within the materials planning/scheduling function to support plant level metrics in the areas of Financial Performance (overtime efficiency, on-time delivery, top line sales) by leveraging lean principles and plant balance (level loading, ship ahead schedules, etc.)
- Provides input, support and guidance regarding the Sales, Inventory, Operating and Planning (SIOP) process and is used to drive improvements into the materials planning/scheduling function
- Coordinates with divisional purchasing resources to integrate supply base strategies, performance and improvements
- Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required (basic) qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with an emphasis in materials and/or inventory management.
- 5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment (purchasing, scheduling, inventory management, etc.
- 5 years progressive SCM experience
- 5+ years’ experience directly managing people
- 3 years of ERP/MRP experience
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA)
- APICS certification or equivalent
