Req ID:  49467
Job Location (Short):  Copenhagen, DNK | Kolding, DNK | Nordborg, DNK
Employment Type:  Full Time
Segment:  Danfoss Climate Solutions Segment
Job Category:  R&D, Technology and Engineering
Work Location Type:  Hybrid

The Impact You'll Make

You will shape the future of sustainable, high‑performance data centers by designing the physical system architectures that make them efficient, reliable, and scalable. Your work will directly influence how energy, cooling, and hardware come together to support the world’s most demanding digital infrastructure.

At Danfoss, data center sustainability is not a promise—it’s a mission. As a Senior System Architecture, Liquid Cooling you will help customers reduce energy consumption, improve thermal performance, and prepare for next‑generation, high‑density compute environments.

You will work at the intersection of innovation and real‑world impact, collaborating across engineering, product, and customer teams to turn advanced thermal concepts into practical, deployable solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design end‑to‑end thermal system architectures for air‑ and liquid‑cooled data centers, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Translate customer and business needs into system designs that integrate cooling components, facility loops, and rack‑level solutions.
  • Define system requirements and boundary conditions to enable accurate simulation, CFD analysis, and performance modeling.
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams to support new builds and retrofit projects from concept to implementation.
  • Drive innovation in liquid cooling and thermal optimization, contributing to next‑generation platforms and protected intellectual property.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years of experience designing thermal or liquid cooling systems for data centers or similarly complex energy systems.
  • Strong system‑level mindset, with the ability to connect facility infrastructure, cooling distribution, and rack‑level solutions into cohesive designs.
  • Solid foundation in thermal engineering, including heat transfer, flow dynamics, and overall system optimization.
  • Clear communicator, able to explain complex designs through schematics, diagrams, and well‑structured technical documentation.
  • Hands‑on experience with engineering and design tools, such as CAD platforms and thermal or CFD simulation environments, and willingness to global travel up to 50% of the time.

What You'll Get from Us

  1. We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
  2. You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
