The Impact You'll Make

As a Service Project Engineer for North America, you will play a key role in strengthening our service capabilities and elevating the customer experience. You’ll help shape the future of service at Danfoss by delivering projects that support our goals and drive long‑term value for customers across the region.
 
In this role, you will balance hands‑on technical work with strategic project leadership. You’ll support customers onsite, help resolve complex quality issues, and guide internal teams in developing the tools, resources, and digital solutions that enable world‑class service delivery.
 
Your work will directly support the growth of our service business and ensure customers have the expertise and support they need to operate their systems efficiently, reliably, and safely.
 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Lead and execute large-scale customer service projects, including revenue‑generating and warranty-related work.
  • Address critical customer concerns by coordinating root‑cause analysis and cross‑functional problem-solving.
  • Drive internal development initiatives that improve service tools, training materials, and digital solutions, including AI‑enabled resources.
  • Support service sales by preparing quotes, joining customer meetings, and conducting onsite technical assessments.
  • Partner with OEMs and global service teams to resolve complex quality issues and support the installed base across regions.
  • Travel up to 20% (primarily domestic) for technical investigations, commissioning, or repair activities.

What We're Looking For

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical field; equivalent experience (including an associate degree) in drives, power electronics, or automation is welcomed.
  • At least 3 years of industry experience in drives, power electronics, or automation.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, including PCB‑level drawings, and knowledge of NAM electrical codes and UL requirements.
  • Project management experience or certification.
  • Experience with Danfoss VFDs or other brands; familiarity with tools such as MCT10, MyDrive Insight, Vacon Live, and experience with PLC/BAS, fieldbus protocols, SAP, or Salesforce.

  4. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000– $110,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
