We now have a new opportunity for a site-based HR People Partner to join one of our flagship sites in Lappeenranta, Finland. You’ll play a key role in providing efficient, consistent, and high-quality on-site HR operational activities and acting as in-person HR administrative support for on-site hourly paid employees and act as tactical sparring partner to people managers.
In this role you can expect to play a key part in integrating site operations knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of HR processes to effectively support organizational development and change, contributing to operational excellence, and will interact with leaders and employees, fostering growth while aligning HR practices with business objectives and ensuring successful change management implementation. You’ll collaborate with leaders and employees on site and take ownership of HR compliance and labour law, acting as a link between HR stakeholders and upskilling programs for Hourly workers, as well as supporting the organization with employer branding, talent acquisition support and onboarding and supporting managers on people related topics, helping us move toward a more inclusive future.
What You’ll Be Doing
Duties will include:
- Ensuring full labour law compliance and policy governance according to Finnish labour legislation, collective agreements, and internal HR policies across all HR processes to ensure consistent, compliant, and transparent employment practices.
- Leading constructive collaboration and building strong relationships with employee representatives, participating in bargaining discussions, and facilitating regular dialogue to address workplace topics and maintain a positive social climate.
- Overseeing the complete employee lifecycle with operational excellence.
- Managing contracts, onboarding, changes, offboarding, and HR documentation whilst ensuring accurate data, timely processing to deliver seamless employee experiences.
- Providing trusted advisory support to managers by guiding leaders on leadership development, employee relations, performance management, and the consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
We expect candidates to demonstrate:
• Strong HR foundation with broad functional and technical expertise, including employee lifecycle management, employee relations, performance processes, and HR systems.
• Proven experience supporting both hourly-paid employees and on-site leaders.
• A deep understanding of Finnish labour laws and regulatory frameworks.
• Advanced capability in managing complex HR cases and advising leaders and experienced in guiding managers through sensitive or complex HR matters, offering clear, pragmatic solutions aligned with legal, organizational, and cultural expectations.
• Full professional fluency in English and effective communication in a global environment.
