We are now looking for a motivated Software Engineering Trainee with focus on AI and Machine Learning to join our diverse R&D team in one of our sites in Finland, with strong preference on our Lappeenranta site.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will explore and implement AI-based solutions to improve our development processes, workflows, and product quality. You will work closely with experienced software, system, functional safety, and cyber security engineers to integrate AI into design, requirement management, and testing activities.
- Research, evaluate, and integrate AI tools into our engineering toolchain to improve productivity, quality, and consistency in software development.
- Develop AI-assisted workflows for automatic generation of design artifacts, source code, and documentation, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Create AI-driven methods for mapping requirements to test cases and implement AI solutions to automatically produce test descriptions and preliminary implementations based on requirement.
- Apply AI to analyze Functional Safety (FuSa) and Cyber Security (CySe) standards, extracting and synthesizing the minimum viable requirement set needed for compliance.
- Support requirement management activities, including traceability, completeness checks, and gap analysis, using AI-assisted tools.
- Evaluate and assess cloud provider services for compatibility with Danfoss’s data confidentiality and cybersecurity standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate AI-generated outputs and ensure they meet engineering and compliance standards.
- Document AI methodologies, workflows, and integration guidelines for internal adoption and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Ongoing studies in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s level).
- Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical experience with modern programming languages.
- Familiarity with requirement management tools and testing frameworks is an advantage.
- Eagerness to learn, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work in a team environment. Good oral and written communication skills in English.
