The Impact You'll Make
Are you an expert in classifying components, parts, and products? This is your opportunity to take full ownership of DanfossCLASS, our global part- and product-classification system based on ECLASS.
You will define, manage, and continuously improve the framework, a core part of the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) landscape with impact across ERP, Manufacturing, and Customer systems worldwide.
In this central expert role, you will collaborate with Data Definition Owners and Data Facilitators, and guide colleagues as a business data consultant, ensuring end-to-end flows are understood and data quality remains high.
You will have a global impact, contributing to PLM projects where classification and product data are key, shaping how product information is structured, governed, and leveraged across the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Take ownership of DanfossCLASS, ensuring the global structure is clear, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
- Define and approve classes, properties, and values, securing high-quality, consistent data across systems.
- Manage synchronization with ECLASS and release updates, keeping the framework accurate and up to date.
- Act as a trusted advisor in PLM projects, guiding colleagues and ensuring effective data governance throughout end-to-end processes.
- Represent Danfoss in standardization forums and manage mapping to other classification schemes, such as ETIM (ElectroTechnical Information Model)
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience with classification schemes in PLM and/or ERP systems, including understanding of end-to-end data flows
- Knowledge of standardized classification systems such as ECLASS, UNSPSC, or ETIM
- Effective ability to manage stakeholders and collaborate across teams, maintaining alignment and momentum in complex projects
- Technical or engineering background with a structured, quality-focused mindset
- Understanding of how classification properties are used in product configurators and product variation management
You are self-driven, take ownership, and feel confident making decisions. You engage stakeholders constructively and maintain momentum even when complexity increases.
