Are you experienced in developing lean and agile supplier relationships and ready to take on a dynamic and impactful role in a global organization? Danfoss Power Solutions’ Global Procurement & Supply Chain organisation in the Controls Division is looking for a proactive and dedicated Specialist Strategic Buyer to join our team.
In this role, you will be part of a competent and collaborative procurement team who ensure effective global supplier management and drive continuous improvement across all performance parameters.
Please note: This position requires a regular on-site presence of at least three days per week at our Nordborg or Kolding offices.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will drive long-term supplier development and contribute to shaping the procurement agenda within a global matrix organisation. You will collaborate across several global functions and act as a key link between supply chain and external suppliers.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Leading supplier relationships, including capacity management discussions and delivery performance
- Managing a portfolio of suppliers and handling contracts, price negotiations, and benchmarking activities
- Coordinating ramp-up and ramp-down activities for new and ongoing improvement projects
- Completing Service Level Agreements with selected suppliers
- Supporting and occasionally leading cost-reduction and sourcing initiatives that strengthen cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Driving and supporting supplier change requests as part of our change management process
- Contributing to complexity reduction by making wise sourcing decisions and leveraging group-wide suppliers to support local initiatives
In addition, the successful candidate will also play a key role in supporting the CCS Procurement team with Procurement Administration, ensuring efficient execution of administrative tasks such as documentation management, data accuracy, and process coordination across procurement activities.
What We're Looking For
We anticipate candidates will display:
- Detailed experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or similar fields, supported by a relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- A solid understanding of how to drive value through supplier collaboration and strategic sourcing
- Technical experience with engineering principles, manufacturing processes, or product technologies
- Strong negotiation and networking skills
- The ability to navigate and balance multiple — and sometimes conflicting — interests
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities
- A self‑driven, proactive mindset with the energy to maintain momentum and deliver measurable results
- Strong organisational abilities to support Procurement Administration tasks with structure and accuracy
