Job Title:  Strategic Purchaser
Req ID:  50004
Job Location (Short):  Nordborg, DNK
Employment Type:  Full Time
Segment:  Danfoss Climate Solutions Segment
Job Category:  Procurement & Purchasing
Work Location Type:  On-site

The Impact You'll Make

You will play a key role in shaping how we work with suppliers and secure the materials that power our products. As a Strategic Purchaser in HPP, you will directly influence cost, quality, and supply stability — helping us stay competitive in a fast-moving global market.
Working close to production, you’ll connect strategy with real-world execution. You will lead supplier negotiations, build strong partnerships, and ensure we are set up not just for today — but for the next 2–3 years and beyond.
This role offers a unique mix of strategic sourcing and hands-on impact. You’ll work cross-functionally, translate business needs into supplier strategies, and turn commercial opportunities into measurable results.

What You’ll Be Doing

•    Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, contracts, and terms that improve cost and reliability
•    Develop and execute sourcing strategies to strengthen supplier performance and future supply security
•    Manage supplier relationships through business reviews and collaboration to drive value and continuous improvement
•    Coordinate cross-functional decisions with engineering, logistics, and operations to align sourcing with business needs
•    Drive sourcing projects including onboarding new suppliers and improving underperforming ones

What We're Looking For

•    Experience in procurement, sourcing, or commercial roles with contract negotiation exposure (minimum ~3 years)
•    Strong commercial mindset with the ability to analyze and negotiate agreements
•    Ability to work independently and take ownership of supplier-related decisions
•    Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across functions and seniority levels
•    Fluent English skills (Danish is a plus, not required)

What You'll Get from Us

At Danfoss, you’ll join a collaborative and agile procurement team where your contributions are visible and valued. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with production and make decisions that create real business impact.
We offer a flexible working environment with a strong emphasis on trust and ownership. While this role is anchored on-site to stay close to operations, you will have the flexibility to work from home when it supports your work and team collaboration.
You’ll gain exposure to senior supplier stakeholders, develop your commercial expertise, and grow within a global organization that values learning, initiative, and continuous improvement.

Ready to Make a Difference?

If you’re motivated by combining strategy with hands-on impact and enjoy working across teams and with external partners, we’d love to hear from you.
Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply — your experience and perspective might be exactly what we’re looking for.
