The Impact You'll Make
As our Strategic Sourcing Engineer, you’ll play a key role China procurement team. This role requires a blend of engineering knowledge, negotiation skills, and market analysis to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials while reducing total costs. He/She will optimize our supply chain, identify reliable suppliers, and drive cost-effective procurement strategies with strong technical background in semiconductor components, manufacturing processes, and supplier relationship management.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Sourcing Strategy & Supplier Management
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for assigned projects/ components/categories
Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers
Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships, conducting supplier performance review and business review
Manage supplier risks and ensure supply continuity - Cost Optimization & Negotiation
Lead cost reduction initiatives (VA/VE, should-cost analysis, benchmarking)
Drive competitive bidding processes (RFQ/RFP/RFI)
Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery conditions
Analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) - Technical Collaboration
Work closely with R&D, engineering, and quality teams on product development
Provide supplier input during design phase (DFM/DFA, material selection)
Ensure technical specifications are clearly communicated to suppliers - Supply Chain & Risk Management
Monitor market trends, technology developments, and supply risks
Develop dual sourcing strategies and contingency plans
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Material, Chemical etc.) or supply chaim management, 3+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain with engineering exposure.
- Experience in procurement, category management or strategic sourcing.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa).
- Proficiency in cost modeling, should-cost analysis, and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) frameworks.
