The Impact You'll Make

Danfoss is looking for a Technical Support Engineer who will support AC drive application of electric drive system. This role requires good product and application knowledge and experience in focus industries. And this role will be responsible to support pre-sales and post-sales technical support activities, including preparation and optimization of technical solution, customer training, and field service support like commissioning and troubleshooting.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Implement troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair of frequency converter when it is needed.
  • Complete Preventative Maintenance and field modifications.
  • Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
  • Support application including commissioning and troubleshooting for the demanding application.
  • Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within Korea.
  • Consult customer to optimize drive system based on Danfoss solution.
  • Review RFQ. Right product selection and sizing based on the tender specifications.
  • Generate solution with new engineering design to be competitive.
  • Generate product and solution values propositions.
  • Prepare technical offer, data sheets and other customer required supporting documents. Sign off on the technical proposal with customer.
  • Discuss with product management for non standard requirements for possible solutions.
  • Co-ordinate between sales, engineering, procurement & customer for winning the order
  • Train sales engineer on the Application and capability, to promote in width range of customers.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in electric/mechatronics engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • An appropriate technical degree in Power, Electrical & Electronics or Control and Instrumentation/Automation.
  • Experience in pre-sales or project sales in marine industry.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of generators, drives, motors, transformers, cabling and drives.
  • Experience in engineering drive solutions systems preferred.
