As our Technology Automation Engineer (m/f/d), you’ll play a key role in taking automation in our Supply Chain & Operations to the next level by developing and implementing smart, simple, and scalable automation solutions for manufacturing.
Your impact?
You will help shape the future of our factory by enabling efficient, flexible, and innovative automated assembly processes. Through robotics, vision systems, and automation concepts, you’ll directly contribute to improved productivity, optimized material flow, and faster implementation of new technologies across the Graasten factory.
You’ll collaborate closely with R&D, Operations, Technology, and Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) and take ownership of automation concepts from idea to implementation—helping us move toward a more innovative, lean, and future-ready manufacturing environment
 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Design products and processes with Design for Automated Assembly (DFAA) in mind, collaborating closely with R&D to ensure products are automation-ready
  • Develop and implement robot, cobot, vision-system, pick & place, and AMR-based automation solutions for manufacturing
  • Define and execute investment plans, equipment specifications, layouts, and supplier alignment for new automation solutions
  • Drive and facilitate proof-of-concept workshops, testing, validation, and development of new automation ideas in our Automation Center
  • Work hands-on when needed, while facilitating alignment meetings and workshops across SC&O using DPP and LEAN tools

What We're Looking For

 

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, with hands-on experience in automation or manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of robotics, automation technologies, vision systems, logistics, layouts, flow, and line balancing
  • Experience specifying, ordering, and implementing new manufacturing equipment, with documented project success
  • Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and collaborate in cross-functional, workshop-based environments
  • A proactive, curious mindset with strong communication skills, a hands-on attitude, and a passion for continuous improvement and technology development
