As our Test Engineer within the Turbocor China Engineering team, the primary work tasks will be leading centrifugal compressor testing on gas cycle test rigs and chiller systems. You will also be responsible for the planning and execution of R&D Lab projects for system upgrades and expansion.
What You’ll Be Doing
1.Execute compressor related tests on test platforms, including running and generating test data, analyzing test data to determine if testing objectives have been achieved, troubleshooting and resolving issues with either test equipment or compressors, providing feedback to product engineers on any issues or concerns, and offering technical guidance, support, and training to lab technicians during daily testing activities.
2.Participate in test equipment improvement and maintenance as needed
3.Assist with R&D Lab Quality Initiatives by defining new procedures as requested and maintaining or upgrading existing lab procedures and standards.
4.Assist with planning future test platform development by collaborating with technical teams in the evaluation and design of systems supporting R&D test programs, as well as assisting with the planning and development of experimental test programs.
5.Manage and execute assigned Lab Projects by developing project requirements, specifications, and schedules; creating system documentation as directed by Lab Management; overseeing all financial-related activities including budgeting, quotations, and CAPEX; managing DTC resources and vendors; and maintaining timely and accurate documentation of all project deliverables, including governance, design, and validation tests.
6.Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workplace while complying with all safety and quality policies, procedures, and instructions.
7.Review and approve individual project team test requests.
8.Assist project engineers to resolve issues within individual test requests.
9.Manage (coordinate and schedule) test activities based on Project Management Office (PMO) priorities to completion.
10.Generate periodic status reports to summarize testing activities.
11.Update Quality KPIs related to testing.
12.Coordinate with Danfoss/DTC EHS representatives to support EHS initiatives and requirements.
13.Execute R&D Safety Activities including Daily Safety Audits
What We're Looking For
1.Bachelor of Science Engineering with knowledge within refrigeration and thermodynamics, Master of Science Engineering is preferred
2.Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid dynamics
3.5 years HVAC&R related engineering, application or service experience, lab experience is preferred
4.Knowledge / experience of testing processes and methodologies
5.General knowledge of materials, electrical circuit, sensors and programming
6.Knowledge about measurement techniques, metrology, data acquisition, and LabVIEW or PLC programming.
7.Strong hands-on capability
8.Familiar with data processing with Excel and Access
9.Project Management experience
10.Experience working with remote development teams, both domestically and internationally
11.Good verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
12.Willing to learn new technologies and skills, strong self-drive and management abilit
