The Impact You'll Make
You will play a key role in developing high-quality AC and DC power conversion solutions used in demanding marine and industrial applications worldwide. Your work directly supports reliable, safe, and energy‑efficient drives that help customers reduce emissions and improve performance.
Based in Vaasa, you’ll work hands-on in our world‑class laboratories, turning prototypes into robust products through testing across the full development lifecycle. You ensure that what we release meets Danfoss’ highest standards of quality and safety.
By collaborating closely with development engineers in an agile setup, you’ll influence design decisions early and help shape the next generation of VACON®, VLT® and iC7® drives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and configure drives for testing, including assembly, software setup, and load configuration, to ensure accurate and repeatable results.
- Execute tests across development phases—from R&D and prototypes to type and approval testing—to validate performance and compliance.
- Measure and analyse electrical and acoustic parameters using lab equipment to generate reliable data for decision-making.
- Document and share test results with engineers to support design improvements and problem solving.
- Contribute to agile teamwork and testing activities, including grid code testing, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
What We're Looking For
- Background in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering (electrical focus)
- Understanding of electrical safety and safe laboratory practices
- Hands-on experience with electrical measurement equipment and lab tools
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and circuit diagrams.
- Experience with grid code testing or willingness to develop competence in this area.
What You'll Get from Us
You’ll join a global technology leader where your work has real impact on sustainable power solutions. We offer a collaborative and respectful culture, where experienced colleagues support your growth and learning.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in advanced laboratories, work with complex power electronics, and develop your skills in testing, product development, and agile ways of working. At Danfoss, inclusion, diversity, and continuous development are part of how we operate every day.
Ready to Make a Difference?
If you’re excited about testing, technology, and seeing your work turn into real products used around the world, we’d love to hear from you. You don’t need to meet every single requirement—what matters most is your motivation to learn and contribute. Apply and help us build the future of power conversion.
