What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, implement, and improve automated test systems that validate compressor performance with accuracy and repeatability.
- Develop and maintain PLC- and software‑based test control that drives reliable, efficient test execution.
- Integrate test equipment, data acquisition, and manufacturing systems to ensure trusted, usable test data.
- Analyze test results, cycle times, and system performance to increase throughput and equipment utilization.
- Support daily production testing and new product introductions by resolving issues and standardizing test processes.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field
- 3–7 years of experience in test engineering, controls, or automation within a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC programming (TIA Portal strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in LabVIEW for data acquisition and system control
- Familiarity with Ignition (SCADA/MES interface) or similar platforms
- Understanding of MES systems and manufacturing data integration workflows
- Knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and system diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have)
- Experience in HVAC systems, compressors, or thermodynamic testing
- Knowledge of refrigerant systems and performance testing methodologies
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Modbus, OPC-UA)
- Experience with Python, SQL, or data analytics tools
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent process improvement experience
