The Impact You'll Make
Would you like to work on high-priority strategic projects across diverse technical businesses in a global company?
As a Strategy Manager in Group Strategy and M&A, you will play a central role in leading and delivering strategic projects across Danfoss’ business units in our in-house consultancy team. Our team plays a key role in shaping Danfoss’ strategic direction, acting as trusted partners to business leaders and supporting the development of a high-performing, future-ready portfolio. Projects range from divisional strategy development – enabling turnarounds, growth, or divestments – to cross-divisional initiatives defining joint strategies for specific applications or industries.
You will work closely with senior leaders across the organization and gain exposure to a broad range of industries, technologies, and business models across Danfoss’ global portfolio. You will also join a team that combines high ambitions with a strong feedback culture to offer a professional development journey comparable to management consulting, with a stronger focus on a healthy work-life balance.
The position is based in our Copenhagen office, with occasional travel to Danfoss headquarters in Nordborg, Als, or other company locations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead workstreams and small projects, including leading meetings, managing dialogue with stakeholders, and planning and executing work.
- Own and conduct structured analyses, including market research, data analysis, financial modelling, and storylining, while guiding and reviewing work performed by junior colleagues.
- Prepare and facilitate workshops involving a broad range of stakeholders.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Build and strengthen a strong internal strategy function by driving capability and knowledge development and mentoring junior colleagues.
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years of highly relevant experience in strategy – ideally from a management consulting firm, corporate strategy function, or other relevant positions.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, problem-solving mindset.
- Motivation to shape the direction of a global, industrial company.
- Curiosity, drive, and a proactive approach to tackling diverse challenges.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, international environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.
What You'll Get from Us
- We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
- You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
- We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
- You’ll receive benefits like annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
