Danfoss is looking for an experienced in-house Tax Manager to set standards for how we work with corporate taxes in our newly acquired entities within the EMEA region, covering countries such as France, Italy, UK, and Germany.

In Danfoss Group Tax we are preparing ourselves for integration activities after a large acquisition, and we are setting up a new global tax support team who will be responsible for all tax aspects in an area of the Danfoss Power Solutions Segment. We are globally looking for experienced and professional colleagues who can join us on this exciting journey.  This position will primarily be based out of Nordborg or Copenhagen, Denmark; Hamburg or Neumuster, Germany or Denham, UK, but your location within Europe could be flexible. 

Job Responsibilities

This is a role with frequent interaction and resolution of requests from the Local Management Team as well as finance colleagues from across the region. You will also play an important role in the creation of the new global tax team that will be an area of the Danfoss Power Solutions Segment. 

The Tax Manager will help to provide tax advice, including supporting in relation to business integration, as well as securing tax compliance and dealing with tax authorities. Your reference will be to the Senior Tax Director, Denmark.

Your key tasks will be to:  

  • Provide tax advice, including supporting in relation to business integration, as well as securing tax compliance and dealing with tax authorities
  • Be responsible for corporate tax matters in the EMEA region for the new entities
  • Support new business, new systems and processes to develop and integrate a “best practice approach” together with the Finance and Group Tax colleagues
  • Coordinate the activities of the tax department and ensure transparency
  • Identify and carry out research on new tax laws and trends
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks
  • Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations
  • Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns
  • Partner with other stakeholder teams across business units (i.e. sales, service and finance) to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate for this role has:

  • Degree in Finance, Legal, Business or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years working experience within the internal corporate tax area both from an advisory as well as compliance perspective
  • Proven strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and with emphasis on delivering quality data
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to implement innovative and complex tax reorganizations and planning
  • Direct tax and compliance analysts with EMEA regional experience is an added advantage 

 

On a personal level, you have a positive attitude and strong people skills. You are structured, pro-active, and operational and have good understanding of end-to-end processes. You have good presentation skills and set an example for excellent team behavior. Since, we work across cultures and geography in a global matrix organization, it is a necessity that you have good cultural understanding and master English, both written and spoken. Other languages, whilst helpful are not required.
