Job Description

Danfoss is expanding and looking for an enthusiastic Facility Project Manager to join our team in Melbourne. Currently, we have multiple facilities across Australia and New Zealand and this role will lead and support the facility consolidation and transition projects across multiple sites. This is a brand-new position and the successful candidate will be a highly organized individual, who has rich experiences in project management and ensure facility/workplace meeting compliance to all application local and legislative obligations.

This exciting opportunity has plenty of scope to develop the role and will report into the Director-Global Services.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure migration and consolidation project activities are delivered on time and in line with agreed delivery dates and stakeholders requests.
  • Responsibility for the planning, development and implementation of effective facilities policies, procedures, space, and capacity planning.
  • Provide coordination and management support of fitouts works, property construction and relocation projects.
  • Develop and implement cost saving initiatives against predefined benchmarks and provide analysis of results.
  • Responsible for the delivery of reactive and planned preventative maintenance, Capex, building compliance and soft services including cleaning and security
  • Assist with implementing policies and procedures including working with Global Services team (GS) to assist with executing plans.
  • Ensure venue's assets to meet all health and safety and other legislative requirements and monitor and report on the Environmental performance of the asset.
  • Develop and oversee asset lifecycle management planning and delivery, to ensure strategic outcomes are achieved and aligned with business needs.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of facilities, assesses problems, and needs, and implement improvements in operations as appropriate.
  • Create and implement audit plan and schedule and ensure regulatory approvals and compliance and certifications are in place.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills: 

  • 7 years minimum of proven experience working in corporate real estate / facilities related fields. 
  • Demonstrated experience in providing written reports and recommendations.
  • Experience in contract management, budget supervision, customer service and stakeholder management.
  • Formal tertiary qualifications in building/facilities management-related discipline desirable though not mandatory.
  • Proven Facilities management experience, working over multi sites would be preferred.
