Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for an experienced Quality Manager for our Fluid Conveyance Division based in a new production plant in Dubnica and Vahom. In this position you will be responsible for leading the execution and deployment of the defined Strategic Quality Plan, providing Quality Leadership to customers, suppliers, partners and internal manufacturing cells, leading continuous improvement activities and managing the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage the quality customer interface to ensure that requirements are understood and met, including assisting in complaint resolution and root cause and corrective action determination.
  • Analyze quality performance and set the plant goals for all quality metrics and perform managerial reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close gaps at an operational level.
  • Develop and implement the Quality function organizational structure capable of supporting strategic business plans and initiatives as part of the plant Quality Road Map followed by Campus SK´s mission & vision. 
  • Design and implement quality assurance training programs and conduct training in quality-related topics, in addition to personnel development plans.
  • Evaluate operational performance of the group to facilitate performance management.
  • Lead the implementation and improvement effort to the Quality Management Systems.
  • Ensure Quality functional participation in product development and launch activities including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, material testing, leading to customer approvals on new and existing products.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills: 

  • Bachelor´s degree in Engineering or related technical field in Quality
  • 3 years of prior experience in same position or supervising operations professional personnel
  • Knowledge of quality techniques including statistical methods used to analyze and control process variations, capability studies, R&R´s, MSA, Control Planning and hD/PFMEA, VDA 6.3, VDA 6.5   
  • Prior experience with dealing with suppliers and customers on quality issues in cross-functional teams, within close collaboration in matrix organization 
  • Team-oriented, problem-solving skills using quality tools, structured methodologies and process approach
  • Proficient in Six Sigma methodology
  • Knowledgeable in the application of Product/Process and Quality System standards of the International Certification and Customer Specific Requirements 
  • Knowledgeable in the field of ISO 9001 and IATF16949 
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Fluent English language
  • German language would be advantage
