The Impact You'll Make
The primary function of the position is to support production operations, calibrate, and maintain various types of environmental processing equipment, and complete accurate reporting as required. In this role, safety is first.
This is a 1st Shift position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Capable of using Microsoft Office Programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint (General Understanding)
- Capable of diagnosing basic equipment failures, troubleshooting, and changing filters as needed
- Operate Enervac oil reclamation system
- Dump Chip Hoppers
- Operate Machine UF78 (Ultrafiltration system)
- Label and ship hazardous waste per regulatory requirements
- Operate and Run the PRAB chip processing equipment
- Run the Barrett chip processing equipment
- Operate and Run the Memtek wastewater treatment system; including chemical make-up, record keeping, and calibration as required.
- Treat used Nickel and Nitric Acid from plating
- Properly manage Hazardous Waste to comply with EPA, DOT and OSHA Standards
- Must be able to walk the facility to perform regulatory inspections
- Machine clean out per work order instructions (remove sludge), support production activities
- Complete Energy control procedures (LOTO), as required on multiple types of machinery in the facility
- Employee must follow all safety rules, report all accidents or unsafe conditions to supervision immediately, and must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
What We're Looking For
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year manufacturing experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year experience working with hazardous material
- HAZMAT experience
- Knowledge of handling dangerous chemicals
- Understanding of emergency precautions
- Knowledge of disposal methods
- Knowledge of reclamation equipment
- General maintenance of equipment
Physical Demands
- Frequent: Standing, walking, bending at knee’s, push, pulling, lifting 1 – 40 lbs. Climbing 6-8 inches (Platform). Reaching at shoulder level and above
- Occasional: Sitting, stair climbing, and lifting 25 to 40 pounds
- The maximum weight that an employee is required to lift safely is 40 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision
