Danfoss in Easley, SC has an opening for a 2nd Shift Hone Operator.   At Danfoss we build high quality, state-of-the-art hydraulic pumps and motors to achieve more with less power agricultural and construction machinery. We engineer impact where it counts, from the farms that feed to the modern city. The Hone Operatoris responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines in the Hone Cell.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Set up machine in accordance with setup matrix and best practice. Understands the different settings and adjustments available on the hone machines.
  • Able to set and adjust hone tooling to achieve quality parts. Understands the basics of statistical process control and the use of control limits.
  • Comfortable using precision gage tools and measuring equipment.
  • Responsible for visually inspecting equipment, complete oil checks, or other inspection methods required to ensure honing equipment is maintained to an acceptable level.
  • Assist in unloading and storing raw material as required. Able to flex the coin/plug, wash or chip inspect as required. 

What We're Looking For

 

  • High School Education or GED or have manufacturing experience.
  • Must understand dimensional requirements and the importance of producing parts that meet specifications.
  • Must have basic math skills with the ability to calculate clearance in decimals.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
