Job Description
Danfoss is in need of a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Easley, SC. A Manufacturing Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting the Manufacturing Engineers in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes, equipment and tools in assembly and test for 2nd shift hours 3:30 - 12:00 p.m. This is an hourly position and starting wage range is $24.00 - $26.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Determine the tooling and /or equipment necessary to manufacture a product with respect to the cost, quality, and ease of manufacturing objectives.
- Provide trouble shooting and related shop support using advanced quality tools for 2nd/3rd shift production times.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers with new processes and maintaining current processes including poke-yoke fixtures and tools.
- Help to prepare process flow diagrams, time studies, process FMEAs, capability studies and control plans in support of new product releases, cost reductions and product modifications
- Help specify and develop the tooling and/or equipment necessary to manufacture a product with respect to the cost, quality, and ease of manufacturing objectives.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
- Associate degree in related fields, equivalent exp.
- Two to three years' experience in manufacturing processes with proven success in implementing process or product improvements.
- Must understand, comply with, and communicate to team members, all environmental, heath, and safety legislation and regulation relevant to areas of responsibility. Must also train team members with regard to these regulations where applicable.
