Danfoss Power Solutions (DPS), Spool Valve Solutions Business Unit  Valves North America, is seeking a Product Application Engineer to provide technical support to internal and external customers, specifying Spool valves into their applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Determines feasibility of integrating valve products into customer applications insuring an optimized hydraulic and or electronic system solution.
  • Creates application proposals and Application Reviews for control valve systems.
  • Works closely with all functional areas of the business to meet the quality, schedule and cost goals of the business Unit.
  • Acts as primary contact for customers on any project or product related topics.
  • Develops and provides product training to DPS sales force and external customers.
  • Develops project schedules based on customer needs and ensures timely completion of project activities. 
  • Provides product literature content updates and Product Information Bulletins.
  • Assists internal functional areas and external customers during project start-up, tuning and evaluation

Background & Skills

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Agricultural Engineering
  • 3-5 Years’ Experience with Mobile, Electro-Hydraulic Load Sense valve systems.
  • Understanding of PLC I/O and CANbus systems preferred
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Must be able to travel and internationally
