Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a ​2nd Shift Team Coordinator ​to join us at our diverse team in Easley, SC.  The Team Coordinator is a stockroom employee that takes a leadership role in the area.  This role will instruct material handlers on job tasks, complete tracking metrics, prioritize job tasks, and ensure the team remains productive through the entire shift. The Team Coordinator will progressively lead and support the stockroom team.  

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Responsible for meeting targets agreed with supervisor by recording the hourly registration
  • Performs material handler job tasks 80-90% of the shift
  • Acts as a liaison between 1st shift leadership and 2nd shift team.  Coordinate and prioritize activities for the team
  • Leads shift start-up meeting and ergo stretches each day
  • Drives 5S in the area.  Understands and can explain the 8 types of Waste and 10 Lean Principles
  • Should motivate and support employees throughout the shift and ensure they are sufficiently supplying all production areas to avoid ‘line down’ situations
  • Ensure all SOP’s and work instructions are followed and work with Supervisors and ME’s to continuously improve them.
  • Ensure staffing assignments and gaps are communicated day to day
  • Train operators on work practices and standard work. Ensure cross-training is conducted to enable worker flexibility and raise skill sets of work force.

  • High School/GED
  • Basic Math Skills.  Must have the skills and knowledge to run all jobs in the area
  • Must be dependable with a good attitude.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are needed.
  • Computer skills: SAP, Microsoft Office.
  • Problem Solving Skills.
  • Fact based problem solving approach.
  • Able to teach basic problem solving tools to co-workers.
  • Works systematically and persistently with problem solving.
  • Able to motivate teams in continuous improvement ” Just do it”, ”lets try it”, ”lets fix it” approach.
