Job Description

 

Danfoss is looking for an accounting professional to fill the position of Accountant within the Global Services (GS), North America Financial Shared Services Organization. This is an important position within the Finance community.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to general ledger account analysis and reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable discrepancy resolution, journal entries, financial analysis, etc.  Works closely with a broad range of employees within all levels of the organization.  Supports other Financial Shared Services functions as needed.

 

This role is project based with project expected to conclude in October 2024

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Responsible for account analysis, reconciliations, and resolution of aged items
  • Analyze and facilitate discrepancy resolution for inter-company past due invoices
  • Research and respond timely to supplier inquiries regarding late or discrepant payments
  • Contact suppliers for missing invoices, invoice information and highlight the importance of providing the required information to avoid untimely payment settlement.
  • Preparation and review of journal entries, calculating provisions related to period-end activities
  • Organizes and prioritizes work assignments to complete tasks on time and meet nonnegotiable deadlines
  • Ability to anticipate problems in advance
  • Demonstrates flexibility in approach and ideas; responds positively and supports change in procedures, process, technology, responsibility and assignments
  • Maintains cooperative and productive working relationships with all employees as well as external contacts
  • Comply with company standards, policies and procedures defined
  • Team with local accounting teams to resolve discrepancies, issues and queries for related accounting issues in a timely manner

Background & Skills

 

 

Required (basic) qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Must be eligible to work in the US both now and in the future

 

Preferred qualifications

  • 1+ years of Accounting experience
  • Practical knowledge of integrated ERP system
  • Work experience in manufacturing environment, multinational company a plus
  • Strong knowledge and skills in Oracle financials
