Job Description

Work as a team with the primary purpose of maintaining a continuous flow of material through a manufacturing cell or work area, as required executing production demands.  Promote and be involved in continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste and improve efficiency of the manufacturing process.

30.60 per hour with 1.15 Shift Differential with increase at 6 months - $2000 sign on bonus  

Job Responsibilities

  1.  Utilize knowledge of CNC machining and production operations, set up and operate milling precision grinding and lapping machines (surface, internal, centerless) on a variety of production work.

  1. Schedules parts through the work cell.
  2. Mill and grind dimensions to print specifications.
  3. Set up, adjust, and review programming.

5.    Edit programs as required by operating instructions, job orders, tooling instructions and process control charts.

6.    Perform fixture setups for varying order requirements.

7.    Perform tool preset when needed and the corresponding tool offsets.

8.    Perform minor routine preventative maintenance and replenish oils and coolants as needed.

9.    Continuous mental and visual attention necessary to assure part conformity.  Take corrective action to prevent broken tools or damage to equipment.

10.  Set up, operate and perform light maintenance on a variety of CNC machining centers.

11.  Inspect the adequacy of machining operations through established inspection and gaging techniques.

12.  Perform routine cell operating housekeeping.

13.  Perform other duties as required, including training.

14.  Inspect all parts per the operation instructions.

Background & Skills

 1.   High school diploma or G.E.D.

2.    Requires use of simple arithmetic, drawings, specifications, and simple measuring instruments.

3.    Ability to read and interpret operating instructions and blueprints.

4.    Basic knowledge of machinery.

5.    Ability to work any shift, at least 40 hours per week.

6.    Ability to use various types of precision gages, measuring and inspection equipment.

  1. Knowledge of CNC programming language, and use.
  2. In addition, at least one of the following:
    1. Two + years machine operating experience, including 6 months CNC machine operation;
    2. Two years of vocational schooling in machining, including CNC operation;
