Job Description

Work as a team with the primary purpose of maintaining equipment to assure a continuous flow of material through a manufacturing cell or work area, as required to meet production requirements.  Promote continuous improvement to eliminate defects, improve the manufacturing process as well as completing safety and preventative maintenance work orders.  “$2,500 Sign On Bonus and $2,500 Relocation bonus for any applicant over a 60 mile radius.”

Job Responsibilities

         

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

     1. Maintain machinery to manufacture specifications.

     2.  Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems to track machine health and perform preventative maintenance.

     3.  Utilize the tools and equipment of several trades.

     4.  Plan and lay out work relating to repair of production equipment.

     5.  Install, relocate, and align new and used equipment.

  1. Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
  2. Model the Danfoss ethical conduct policy, the Danfoss Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.
  3. Support plant lean, safety, quality, and continuous improvement efforts, including performing routine housekeeping/5S+ activities.
  4. Demonstrate the Danfoss Leadership Model, Danfoss Ethics, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies as applicable

Background & Skills

Required (basic) qualifications

  1. Two-year vocational degree in maintenance plus 4 years’ experience maintaining production equipment OR completion of accredited apprenticeship in machine maintenance plus 2 years maintaining production equipment.
  2. Experience with electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  3. Ability to use simple arithmetic.
  4. Good verbal communication skills.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills.
  6. Good computer skills. 

Preferred qualifications

  1. 2 years’ experience maintaining production / CNC equipment.
  2. PLC programing, diagnostic and installation experience
  3. Previous experience with CMMS.
  4. Robotics programming diagnostic and installation experience.
