Danfoss in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Strategic Project Engineer to join the R&D Test Lab. This position will evaluate, develop, and implement testing technologies, manage capital expenditure projects, and work closely with various engineering teams. 
 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: 

•    Maintain subject matter expertise in Danfoss products, technologies, testing hardware and software to support testing and maintenance activities
•    Identify, analyze, innovate, and validate lab testing technologies in hydraulic, electronics and others to continuously improve lab operation
•    Align with global labs on testing standards and processes to ensure consistent testing results
•    Propose, manage, and lead capital expenditure projects to fulfill business needs
•    In conjunction with lab manager, create budget plan and vision for lab capabilities to fulfill business needs on existing and future products

Background & Skills

 

Basic Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
•    Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in the related fields

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Master’s Degree with 5 years of prior experience in related field
•    Experience in project management with Project Management Professional certification
•    Experience with large-scale manufacturing company with multi-national Research, Development, and Engineering teams 


Job Criteria:

•    Expertise in hydraulic system (including electronics) design, analysis, and testing
•    Proficient in engineering software: Pro E, LabView, MATLAB, etc.
•    Ability to take technologies from concept to demonstration
•    Ability to influence in matrix organization without authority
•    Ability to resolve conflict and improve engineering processes
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
