We are looking for a Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) to join our dedicated Service team. In this role, you will support customers across diverse industries by delivering high-quality field services for the full portfolio of Danfoss Drives products and solutions.
You will play a key role in commissioning, maintaining, and optimizing our drive systems, helping customers ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operation of their applications.
This position combines hands-on technical work with strong customer interaction, making it ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about problem-solving.
You will work from our location Holmestrand in Norway, or in one of our locations in Netherlands or Finland (remote option possible).
What You’ll Be Doing

Oversee installation, commissioning, configuration, and performance of new drive systems to meet specifications and customer expectations.

Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and application issues to restore operations with minimal downtime.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize system reliability, longevity, and performance.

Provide technical guidance, training, and expert support to customers, colleagues, and service partners.
- Manage service projects end‑to‑end, including documentation, reporting, coordination, scheduling, and collaboration with sales to identify service opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Ability and willingness to travel and work in industrial and offshore environments
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant practical experience
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and/or PLCs
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work independently
- Solid communication skills in English (written and verbal)
