Job Description

 

Our Danfoss Freeport location is now hiring an experienced manufacturing engineer to join our team. Our Danfoss Power Solutions segment in Freeport specializes in providing high-quality hydraulic and electronic solutions for various industries, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.

Job Responsibilities

 

Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in an industrial plant. Duties: develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods; designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency; confers with planning and design staff to ensure efficient production methods; estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs; applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential; prepares and presents Capital Expenditure Proposals; performs all functions required for project management.

Background & Skills

 

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering with 3 years experience supporting machining operations, including manufacturing hard tools; CAD/CAM; PLC programming; simulation software; Minitab; Solidworks; and CNC Programming.  In lieu of bachelor’s plus 3 years experience, master’s degree in Industrial and/or Systems Engineering.  Six Sigma Green Belt.
