Join us in accelerating the electrification of the maritime industry. As a Technical Application Specialist (m/f/x), you will help customers across the EMEA region solve complex electrical and drive system challenges while supporting the transition to more sustainable marine technologies.
 
Based in Gorinchem, you will combine hands-on field experience, testing, commissioning, and technical customer support. Your work will directly influence how marine electrical systems are designed, applied, and optimized in real-world environments.
 
This is an opportunity to work closely with customers, sales teams, service colleagues, and technical experts while building deep expertise in power converters, marine drive systems, and electrical power solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Provide technical support and application expertise to customers and sales teams, helping solve complex electrical and drive system challenges throughout the pre-sales process
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor during customer discussions, translating operational requirements into practical and reliable marine electrification solutions
  • Test, analyze, and validate power converters and drive systems in our Gorinchem test facility and use insights to improve customer applications and solution robustness
  • Commission, troubleshoot, and optimize complex marine systems, including motor drives, grid converters, Active Front Ends, power converters, and shaft generator converters
  • Perform diagnostics and measurements using tools such as oscilloscopes and support customers on-site across the EMEA region when technical expertise is needed

What We're Looking For

 

  • Completed hands-on technical education in Electrical Engineering combined with several years of experience working with complex electrical systems and industrial power applications
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices and standards, with the ability to apply them in practical environments
  • Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills with a practical, hands-on approach to solving technical challenges
  • Fluent Dutch and very good English communication skills
  • Valid Category B driving license and willingness to travel within the EMEA region for commissioning and troubleshooting activities
