Job Description

Danfoss Drives is currently looking for 2-3 ambitious interns for our Global Supply Chain Technology Center (TEC) for the Spring semester of 2025. We are seeking candidates in Robotics, Automation, Technology, and Manufacturing Engineering. You will be part of our Global TEC Center, which has around 100 employees worldwide. Our main purpose is to design, develop, and build a lean, world-class manufacturing setup for our next-generation products. We do this in close collaboration with R&D, focusing on the following main elements:

  • DFAA – Design For Automated Assembly – design the product for automation, design the parts for automation.
  • Our automation ambition is high and we want to raise the bar in terms of smart use of (collaborative) robots, flexibility and scalability within manufacturing.
  • Manufacturing concept development, test and verification within the whole supply chain (from parts to finished product). Lean automation in a Lean factory.
  • Automate unit-test and develop concept within production line.
  • Support line-controller IT system landscape in an Industry 4.0 Supply Chain.

Job Responsibilities

We are currently looking for interns for the following two teams:

  • Team OTM – Manufacturing Engineer Intern
You will work in a cross-functional team, focusing on establishing and adapting new production areas for new products. This includes working with assembly concepts, where an understanding of assembly robots, lean manufacturing, and production flow is essential. We work with DFA, collaborative cobots, and assembly concept design to create a world-class, flexible, automated factory.

  • Team TPA – Platform Architect Intern
Among other activities, you will drive the development of our future automated assembly platform based on collaborative robots. This includes conceptual refinement, followed by real-life proof-of-concept validation. In this role, you will combine theoretical analysis with practical experiments.

The internship is a great opportunity to get experience within energy efficient solutions in a global company. We are an open-minded department with space for creativity and new ideas.

Background & Skills

You are either a Bachelor's or Master's student in engineering, pursuing a field of study relevant to our business area. In your application, please indicate your area of interest by specifying the corresponding team name. It would be beneficial if you can document any activities or projects related to automation.

We are looking for someone who is professionally curious, eager to learn, and passionate about technology development. Additionally, we expect you to be entrepreneurial, enjoy working with diverse teams, and thrive in an international environment.

Finally the position requires full-time working and the location is Gråsten, Denmark. We can offer you accommodation, which we will cover, if you are not living near to the working location.

Please send your application as soon as possible and convince us that you are the right profile by submitting a cover letter, your CV and relevant educational transcripts. We do not have an application deadline, but the position will be closed down when we find the right candidate.
