The Impact You'll Make
You will play a critical role in ensuring our variable speed drives can be placed on global markets and remain compliant and safe throughout their entire lifecycle, from early concept development to end-of-life.
The role sits at the intersection of engineering and regulatory compliance. You will help ensure that products are designed correctly from the start, meet applicable legislations, directives, and standards, and are supported by robust and defendable documentation.
You will be part of a great team of other compliance engineers where we believe in cooperation and an openminded work environment and support each other constructively.
Success in this role requires balancing technical, commercial, and regulatory considerations while making informed decisions that protect both our customers and our business.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will act as the link between product development teams and global regulatory requirements, helping drive compliance throughout the product lifecycle by:
- Guiding development teams on compliance requirements related to electrical safety, regulatory standards, and global market access.
- Ensuring drives and power electronic products meet relevant laws, directives, and standards such as CE, UL, and IEC 61800-5-1.
- Reviewing designs, requirements, test results, and technical documentation to identify compliance risks and drive timely corrective actions.
- Supporting compliance assessments and maintaining complete, accurate, and defendable documentation to ensure product can be sold, maintained, and supported globally.
- Collaborating with engineering, test, quality, and product management teams to balance technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or another relevant technical education within electronics, combined with practical experience working with electronics or electrical products or,.
- Experience with product compliance gained through Product Development, Product Testing, or a similar technical environment, with a strong understanding of how compliance enables safe and successful products in global markets.
- Solid analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, navigate uncertainty, and make informed engineering decisions based on incomplete information.
- Clear communicator who can translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into actionable guidance for both engineering teams and management stakeholders.
- High integrity and strong risk awareness, with the confidence to challenge decisions, raise compliance concerns, and make objective recommendations, even late in the development lifecycle.

We see value in different compliance backgrounds. Experience with Variable Speed Drives, power electronic products, or electrical safety compliance is considered an advantage. At the same time, we also welcome candidates with experience in other compliance disciplines related to electrical products, such as packaging, marine, circularity, chemical compliance or environmental compliance.
