Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Developer with a focus on testing, you will be an essential member of a skilled development team having the joint responsibility for developing new features and software solutions within functional safety, used in our next-generation drives. You will be responsible for developing and improving our state-of-the-art test framework, tools, and practices for our embedded SW development. In addition, you will design, execute, and maintain automated product tests to ensure that our products work as intended throughout development and product lifetime. You will ensure that development projects meet the deadlines, that our software meets the high quality standards of our customers, and most importantly that it can be certified according to relevant functional safety standards.

Responsibilities include:    

  • Develop our test framework, tools, and practices used for development and releasing of our SW in a CI workflow
  • Develop, monitor and maintain automated tests for application-level and firmware-level software functionality
  • Write and maintain software unit test, and software integration test
  • Analyze regression test runs and evaluate results together with the development team and Product Owner
  • Arrange and participate in requirement reviews, design reviews, code inspections and verification and validation test reviews
  • Write and maintain technical documentation
  • Assist in certification process
  • Share knowledge, insights and support other developers based on your experience as a senior developer
  • Work with the rest of the product team to ensure that the software and hardware are compatible, and the complete product lives up to requirements and functional safety standards

Background & Skills

We expect you to hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, topped with more than 5 years' experience in SW development and testing.

 

The ideal candidate should have experience in the following:

  • Customer application understanding (E.g. General physics like speed/torque, control loops, electrical systems, frequency converters, etc.)
  • Good SW architecture understanding to be used in our test framework development
  • Programming in Tessy, Python and Robot Framework
  • Modern software development tools such as GIT, Azure DevOps, CI/CD
  • Test environments such as Tessy   Hardware in the Loop (Typhoon HIL), HW prototypes, and released products on real hardware
