The Impact You'll Make
AI is transforming how software is built, tested, and delivered – and you will help shape how this happens at Danfoss Drives. In this role, you will explore how AI can improve real engineering workflows, from requirements to release, in a global environment powering industrial solutions.
You won’t just observe – you will experiment, prototype, and influence. Your insights will directly guide engineers and leaders who are ready to adopt AI to work smarter and faster.
This is a unique opportunity to turn curiosity into real impact, working hands-on with production systems while building experience that can launch your career in software engineering and AI.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Explore AI across the software lifecycle by evaluating tools like GitHub Copilot, Azure DevOps, Polarion, and Microsoft 365 Copilot in real engineering workflows
- Identify high-impact opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, quality, and collaboration across requirements, development, testing, and release
- Build practical proof-of-concepts that demonstrate AI-driven improvements, automation, or new ways of working
- Translate insights into action by delivering structured recommendations, trade-offs, and a clear roadmap for AI adoption
- Collaborate with experienced teams of developers, product owners, and managers – bringing fresh perspectives that challenge and improve current practices
What We're Looking For
- You are currently enrolled in an academic study program (at least 2 years completed and 1 more year until end of studies) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or similar
- You have a strong interest in AI/ML and are motivated to apply it in practical, real-world software development
- You bring solid programming skills in Python, TypeScript, or C/C++, and are comfortable with Git-based workflows
- You are curious, proactive, and eager to explore new technologies in a hands-on environment
- You can work independently, structure your ideas clearly, and communicate your findings effectively in English
What You'll Get from Us
- We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
- You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
- We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
- You’ll receive benefits like 13th salary, annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
