Are you studying engineering and looking for an opportunity to turn theory into hands-on experience?

As our Student Worker in Automation Technology, you will join our Automation team in Operations, Graasten for 10-15 hours per week and work alongside experienced engineers on real manufacturing challenges.

Depending on current projects and your interests, you can contribute to areas such as automation, robotics, digital manufacturing, data analysis and AI-based vision, while learning how new ideas move from concept to testing and manufacturing.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your tasks will depend on ongoing projects and your experience, but could include:

• Supporting engineering projects related to automation, manufacturing and new product development.
• Working with manufacturing data and value stream information to help identify opportunities to improve production flow and setup.
• Supporting testing and evaluation of technologies such as collaborative robots, fleet control solutions and AI vision.
• Helping develop and test concepts for automated assembly together with our manufacturing engineers.
• Documenting findings, preparing analyses and sharing recommendations with the project team.

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of smaller assignments while receiving support and sparring from experienced colleagues.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a student who is motivated by technology and wants to learn how engineering is applied in a real manufacturing environment.

We imagine that you:

• Are currently studying a bachelor’s or master’s degree within engineering or another relevant technical field.
• Have an interest in manufacturing, automation, robotics, digitalization, data or related technologies.
• Are curious and comfortable exploring technical problems where the answer may not be known from the beginning.
• Can work independently on defined tasks while also enjoying collaboration with engineers and other colleagues.
• Can work approximately 10-15 hours per week alongside your studies.

Experience with automation or manufacturing is an advantage, but we do not expect you to know everything already. Your motivation, curiosity and willingness to learn are important to us.
