Job Description

Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives is seeking for a talented and experienced System Developer to join our team focused on the development and support of our Linecontroller/SCADA platform a central system for managing and optimizing our production processes. This platform ensures seamless production execution and communication between machines, operators, and digital services across our global factories.

 

Our production environment is characterized by high variability and short lead times, requiring intelligent automation, flexible workflows, and a robust, data-driven backbone. You will help shape the digital core that drives everything from robots and conveyors to manual assembly stations, where human operators are guided through dynamic work instructions and assisted by connected tools.

 

As we expand our Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) capabilities, this role will also have a touch of integrating real-time data, edge connectivity, and cloud-based insights into our platform - paving the way for smart manufacturing, predictive analytics, and continuous improvement.

 

You’ll be part of a dedicated and agile team of 10 system developers and consultants, collaborating closely with our Product Owner, production engineers, and global sites. We maintain a strong team spirit and social culture, both inside and outside of the office.

Job Responsibilities

As a System Developer, your primary focus will be on the continued evolution of our Linecontroller/SCADA platform. You will help build core functionality, drive new initiatives, and shape technical direction with a strong emphasis on modularity, reliability, and real-time responsiveness.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Design and develop features on our C# .NET-based platform, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Contribute to the IIoT journey by integrating data from connected equipment via ex. MQTT, REST APIs, and custom TCP/IP protocols etc..
  • Support Object-oriented design, Clean Code practices, with the use of well-known design patterns.
  • Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Architecture principles.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and system stability.
  • Build responsive UIs and modern frontend components for visualizing production data and guiding operators.
  • Work on integrating edge and cloud computing features using technologies like Microsoft Azure and Docker.
  • Contribute to the reliability and uptime of our platform by identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, IT teams, and external partners to ensure that digital solutions are aligned with production and business needs.
  • Ensure efficient knowledge sharing across global production sites.

Background & Skills

You bring 5–10 years of experience in C# .NET development and a solid understanding of software engineering principles. You thrive in a collaborative environment and have a proactive mindset toward innovation and technical excellence.

We expect you to have:

  • Strong experience with Clean Code principles and object-oriented design.
  • Deep knowledge of C# .NET, ASP.NET Core (Blazor, REST), and Entity Framework Core.
  • Proficiency in SQL, preferably with SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with Docker, and ideally Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies like Blazor and Bootstrap.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Blob Storage, CosmosDB).
  • A good grasp of network communication protocols, including MQTT, REST, and custom TCP/IP implementations.
  • Familiarity with IIoT concepts, edge computing, or AI is a strong plus.
