Job Description

 

You will become a part of an international company and will work in Advanced Analytics Service team, which helps the organization to utilize the opportunities within Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence.

We are a central supporting and enablement function based in Danfoss Group IT. We collaborate with mature data science setups, as well as fostering and supporting new initiatives with smaller teams of   colleagues with less experience in ML/AI. We are focusing on ongoing learning and development, and it is important that we stay up to date with the development in the analytics domain, which includes evaluating and integrating new technology and methodologies when relevant. As a Data Architect/Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and developing data pipeline solutions ensuring data assets are available for people and solutions throughout the organization. You will be working closely with digital leads, data scientists, architects, and BI developers to ensure future-proof data pipelines and data models are designed and implemented. To succeed there is a need for a general curiosity towards data to understand what value it can bring in different domains as e.g., business analytics, new product development, smart manufacturing, and improved service offerings. You should not expect a duplicate of yesterday since we interact across countries, cultures, disciplines, roles, and teams on multiple exciting projects

Job Responsibilities

 

You will contribute to our mission of driving a sustainable transformation of tomorrow. Your tasks will vary from project to project, and could for instance cover the following:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand use cases and map their data requirements
  • Build and maintain information model for enterprise systems and for solutions in BI and analytics
  • Design and implement robust ETL/ELT workflows
  • Participate in data storage design discussions and prototype solutions
  • Support data pipeline development, deployment, and maintenance
  • Ensure relevant and consistent integrations between different systems and solutions
  • Support and implement data availability, integration, and API development activities
  • Analyze existing data solutions to suggest and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with architects at all levels including, enterprise, capability, and solution

Background & Skills

 

  • Minimum a bachelor in relevant field (e.g. computer science, software engineering, …)
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience on data analytics/engineering tools and frameworks
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a data engineer creating CI/CD data pipelines
  • Experience with architecture principles and frameworks, for instance TOGAF
  • Expert in SQL and experience with other data languages e.g. Python, R or Scala
  • Expert on various storage technologies for different data types
  • Experience in database design, development, and data modeling
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration
  • Experience with stream processing
  • Knowledge of master data management and governance processes for ensuring data integrity
  • Experience with DevOps toolchain and CI/CD processes
  • Overview of tools and service offerings from different vendors, e.g. Informatica, Azure Data Factory, SAP Data Services
