As a Lead Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and development of control valves and line components from idea to market launch. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with Danfoss's commitment to sustainability and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Lead the design and development of new products, including leading and delegating relevant activities to other Design engineers within the specific projects
  • Collaborate with product management and supply chain team to define project specifications and deliverables, resulting in streamlined project execution and timely completion
  • Develop and evaluate design concepts using CAD software and other engineering tools like simulations (FEA and CFD)
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design reviews to ensure product viability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee prototype development and testing, making necessary design adjustments based on test results
  • Mentor and guide other Design engineers in the project, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Continuous improvement in design processes and methodologies, enhancing efficiency and product quality

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related field
  • Min.5 years’ experience in mechanical product design and development within HVAC industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Experience with fast prototyping and platform-based development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously
