The Impact You'll Make

Network Engineer is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of network equipment and operational ISP services, from procurement to decommissioning. This role involves developing equipment refresh plans, optimizing lifecycle management processes, and ensuring the modernization of network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in network engineering, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record of managing complex equipment lifecycles.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lifecycle Management:
•    Manage the lifecycle of network equipment, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
•    Manage the lifecycle of operational ISP services, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
•    Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all equipment and services throughout their lifecycle.
Equipment Refresh Plans:
•    Develop equipment refresh plans to ensure the modernization of network infrastructure.
•    Assess the performance and reliability of existing equipment to identify refresh needs.
•    Evaluate new technologies and equipment options to determine the best solutions for the organization.
Process Optimization:
•    Optimize lifecycle management processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
•    Identify opportunities to streamline processes and automate tasks.
•    Implement best practices for equipment and service lifecycle management.
Vendor Management:
•    Work with vendors to procure equipment and services.
•    Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
Collaboration:
•    Work closely with other IT teams, including network engineering, operations, and security, to ensure seamless integration of equipment and services.
•    Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
•    Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Documentation:
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of equipment and service lifecycles.
•    Create and maintain knowledge base articles for common lifecycle management tasks.

What We're Looking For

Education: 
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Language:

•    Fluent English.

Experience:
•    3 + years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on lifecycle management.
•    Proven experience managing equipment and service lifecycles.
•    Experience with  vendor management.  

Technical Skills:
•    Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, VPN).
•Knowledge on aruba components and tools 
•    Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
•    Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

Certifications (Preferred):
•    ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent.
•    Other relevant network or IT certifications.
