The Impact You'll Make
Fully responsible for end-to-end procurement management of all prototype materials, standard parts, custom non-standard components and outsourced machining services for the global prototyping center; control procurement lead time, cost and quality, develop and manage supplier resources to guarantee smooth delivery of all sampling projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
Prototype Material & Outsourcing Procurement Execution

Gather prototype material requirements and technical specifications; identify raw materials, standard parts, custom machined parts and outsourcing demands.

Send RFQs, compare quotation, lead time and quality capability, select suppliers and release POs.

Track order delivery, resolve shortages, delays and processing bottlenecks, and escalate procurement risks proactively.
Supplier Development & Management

Develop and manage qualified domestic and overseas suppliers for metal stock, standard parts, CNC outsourcing, surface treatment and rapid prototyping; conduct supplier audits and maintain supplier database.

Evaluate suppliers regularly on delivery, quality, cost and service; phase out poor performers and develop alternative suppliers.

Negotiate price, payment terms and technical agreements to secure favorable trial production pricing and reduce sampling cost.
Procurement Quality & Technical Coordination

Communicate drawings, tolerances, material grades and surface standards to suppliers; support clarification of special machining and assembly requirements.

Cooperate on incoming inspection, handle non-conforming materials, and drive supplier rework, replacement or compensation.

Collect supplier feedback on processing constraints and support prototype design and process optimization.
Procurement Cost & Inventory Control

Monitor material and outsourcing costs; support cost reduction through bidding, consolidated ordering and material standardization.

Manage consumables, cutting tools, assembly auxiliaries and standard part safety stock to prevent overstock and shortages.

Maintain procurement cost records and provide cost data for operational reporting.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Material Science or related majors
- Minimum 2 years of procurement experience in precision machinery prototype, CNC outsourcing or hardware parts industry, familiar with mechanical processing technology preferred.
- Able to read mechanical 2D drawings and basic GD&T requirements, understand common metal materials, surface treatment processes and precision outsourcing processing standards.
- Familiar with the whole procurement process including supplier development, quotation comparison, order tracking and incoming quality complaint handling.
- Skilled in cost negotiation, supplier evaluation and risk control; able to balance lead time, quality and procurement cost.
- Basic English communication capability to negotiate with overseas suppliers and read English technical specifications.
