Job Description

At our Virtual Competence Centre for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls, we are currently seeking an intern (m/f/d) to join our team of simulation specialists and contribute to improvement of simulation methods for Electronics Simulation (EcS) and automated tools. You will become part of an international and diverse team of simulation specialists and engineers in our R&D department located at the heart of Hamburg HafenCity.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will be involved in developing various tools aimed at accelerating and automating the simulation process across pre-processing, processing, and post-processing stages. You will work on projects aimed at enhancing our simulation methods and technologies, which may involve comprehensive literature reviews, comparison of virtual and physical tests, or validation of tools.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and plan the research components. Research findings and progress should be reported and aligned to the team. For this position you have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, computer science or similar. We are also looking for the following qualifications:

 

· Understanding of electromagnetic wave propagation

· Proficiency in multilayer Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) layout design, with a specific emphasis on DCIR, Signal Integrity, Cross Talk, and Near and Far Field.

· Experience in either commercially available EM simulation software (preferably Ansys AEDT HFSS and Ansys SIwave) or with a programming language (e.g. Python).

· Ability to work independently.

· Team-oriented and motivated to work in a multi-cultural environment.
