Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Manager (m/f/d) – Modeling & Simulation to join our Innovation Lab in Danfoss Cooling Refrigeration and Air Controls at our Hamburg location.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead and manage the international Virtual Engineering Team with the core team located in Hamburg to take our Modeling & Simulation efforts to the next level. You will be in close communication with your team members in order to support their development and performance by providing feedback, resolving conflicts, and initiating suitable development measures. Your team will provide design recommendations, create digital twins, and reduce the need for testing based on physical prototypes. As a manager, you will define the strategy and proactively challenge today’s status quo towards more efficient innovation and product development. You will ensure we have the right partnerships with universities, research centers and suppliers to seek the technologies of tomorrow and successfully integrate them. Further, you will be part of the cross-segment simulation team, influencing the global Danfoss community towards excellence and alignment with business objectives.

Background & Skills

You have a university degree as well as relevant work experience in the field of simulation. Within your career, you have a proven track record in managing teams in a German work environment, so you understand the basics of German labor law and how it applies to your responsibilities as a manager. Additionally, we would like to see:

 

  • Innovative and curious mindset with a willingness to drive the team forward
  • Ability to connect ideas, people, and technological advances
  • Excellent communication skills to connect with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to lead, motivate and support team in change processes
  • Comfortable in coaching and training others
  • Experience in Thermal Management / Electrification is a plus
  • Fluent English and German language skills required
