Danfoss Sensing Solutions is looking for a talented Simulations Specialist (m/f/d) with passion and extensive expertise in modelling electromechanics, structural mechanics and environmental tests virtually.
Danfoss Sensing Solutions offer an extensive portfolio of advanced sensors that improves energy efficiency of demanding and critical equipment within off-highway machinery, refrigeration, air conditioning, and renewable energy.
Within Sensing Solutions, you will be part of a new team for advanced simulations. You will work with new product development in close collaboration with our R&D teams and laboratories. The Sensing Solutions simulation team is situated in a hub, in the German Hamburg office, together with other Danfoss simulation teams. Your team reports to the New Product Development specialist function within Engineering Excellence situated in Denmark.

Job Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include developing and refining advanced virtual models to support fast and robust New Product Developments. You will assist the design teams in making the correct design decisions by supporting through virtual DOE and virtual environmental testing. Furthermore, you will be vital in our effort in optimizing our physical test program, securing we are selecting the most effective tests and testing at the most effective levels. Of cause in close collaboration with our NPD teams and other specialist functions.
As such we expect you to push our boundaries in use cases, functionalities, and benefit of simulations by taking an active role in developing, forming, and structuring our new advanced simulation capabilities.
Background & Skills
To be successful in this role, you hold an academic degree in Engineering or Science and have a solid theoretical background within applied science combined with extensive practical experience of virtual modelling. We are primarily looking for simulations of electromechanical and structural mechanical components and environmental tests for use in new product development for industrial applications. We expect you to have a direct interaction with both the laboratories and the NPD teams situated in Denmark, a certain travel activity should be expected.
Besides modelling, it is of importance that you are good at working independently while also contributing in shaping a team, both social and professional, by creating structure and forming the roadmap which will get us up and running in short time while also brings us excellence in simulation capabilities with a growing set of comprehensive solutions and models.
Furthermore, we are looking for:
- A persistent problem solver with urge to deliver
- A dedicated team-player who knows how to bring results in a team
- Has solid experience with FEA Simulation tools, preferably ANSYS and Comsol
- Communicating effortlessly in English (written and verbal)
- Comfortable with communicate about risks
- Independent and proactive, good at making your own agenda of the day
