Danfoss’ newest business unit – White Drives Motors & Steering is a standalone business that consists of three locations -- Hopkinsville, Kentucky, U.S.; Wroclaw, Poland; and Parchim, Germany. As part of the announced acquisition of Eaton Hydraulics, White Drives Motors & Steering will be divested from Danfoss by the end of 3Q 2021 to ensure all regulatory approvals are met. 

This position is expected to remain with White Drives Motors & Steering. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Danfoss’ plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Danfoss when the transaction closes, the new owner of White Drive Motors & Steering will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
 

Job Responsibilities

Root cause analysis of customer warranty claims in the form of field returns and production line rejects
Coordinates the activities surrounding the hardware return in order to complete failure analysis using various testing and inspection methods
Enters failure analysis information into the company database(s)Partners with the appropriate Business Unit (BU) quality and engineering in the root cause investigation
Represent Danfoss during external customer visits 
 

Background & Skills

Qualifications:
High school education  
Five years working with Danfoss products or Fluid Power Technology background  
Experience in two or more of the following areas: Test Lab, Machining, Quality Technician, Assembly Test, or Cell Coordinator 

Requirements & Skills:
Main competencies: Safety: Follows safety & housekeeping standards and procedures, uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), looks after the safety of others.
Problem solving able to break problems down to manageable parts and sets major priorities. 
Extracts data from known sources. Analysis information in a systematic way. 
Structures problem solving using analytical approaches.  
Must be able to prepare written information for customers (internal and external) customers. 
Handling conflicts: Can identify conflicts, uses knowledge of reasons for disagreements to find solutions. Can use different approaches to different kinds of conflicts in most situations.
Time management: Applies time management techniques but needs assistance, guidance, and support when encountering new situations.
Continuous improvement: Identifies and focuses on improvement areas with great potential and likelihood for early success. Initiates and leads improvement projects or change initiatives.
Teamwork: respects others, shares information, gives & receives feedback, works interdependently with co-workers to accomplish team goals.  Works with others to resolve conflicts.

Additional skills/traits:
The position will interact with BU Quality, Engineering, Sales, Central Technical Services and customer contacts.  Experience: in leading 4-Step, Championing RCPS activities
Networking: Establishes internal network of relationships.
