Danfoss’ newest business unit – White Drives Motors & Steering is a standalone business that consists of three locations -- Hopkinsville, Kentucky, U.S.; Wroclaw, Poland; and Parchim, Germany. As part of the announced acquisition of Eaton Hydraulics, White Drives Motors & Steering will be divested from Danfoss by the end of 3Q 2021 to ensure all regulatory approvals are met. 

This position is expected to remain with White Drives Motors & Steering. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Danfoss’ plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Danfoss when the transaction closes, the new owner of White Drive Motors & Steering will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
 

Job Responsibilities

•    Ensure direct material parts / components are available on time from suppliers to support SOP forecast and Manufacturing Planned Schedule (MPS)
•    Effective management of the Supply base by working with suppliers to improve delivery performance and ensure OTD to our facility
•    Enter or modify purchase requisitions and purchase orders
•    Place approved purchase orders with selected vendors
•    Review open PO reports, check order status, modify quantities or due dates
•    Help source manufactured parts (surface treatments/milling/turning/laser cutting/weld/fabrication, etc.)
•    Send Request for Quotes based on demand from planning
•    Support Procurement Team in maintenance PDP data, including assisting with sourcing diagrams, setting up new vendors and to request / maintain vendor certifications 
•    Assist in stock count cycles and ascertaining purchasing requirements for direct materials
•    Provide support with other administrative duties within purchasing
•    Serve as liaison between vendors, program managers, quality, planning and manufacturing 

Background & Skills

•    Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Supply Chain, business or relevant 
•    Minimum of 2 years of ERP / purchasing experience in a similar manufacturing setting 
•    Analytical, proactive, detailed orientated and problem-solving skills
•    Familiarity with Engineering Change Control and revision / release processes
•    Proficient in MS Office with emphasis in Excel and Word, Visio a plus
•    Strong math skills 
•    Proactive - sense of ownership and ability to drive action
•    Effectively manage the supplier base
•    Administer purchase orders and the PO system
•    Good communication, presentation, and reporting skills
•    Continuous improvement / root cause problem solving skills 
•    Demonstrated interpersonal / communication skills
•    Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others
•    Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks
•    Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
