Danfoss, a global, performance-driven organization with a strong purpose focused on advancing the green agenda is hiring a HR People Partner to join our Danfoss Power Solutions business at our Brooklynn, OH manufacturing location. The HR People Partner will be a part of a Industrial HR team creating an engaged and productive workforce through Danfoss’s policies, programs and best practices.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Support the development and implementation of organization change initiatives.
· Supports and assists in the recruitment efforts to high quality talent for exempt and nonexempt positions, students and temporary employees.
· Facilitate and maintain a new hire orientation program for successful new hire socialization and transition into the organization, an introduction into the business, and familiarization with Company policy and procedure.
· Interpret and apply human resource policies, procedures and programs, ensuring consistent application and balance business and employee needs in compliance with Company policy.
· Administer disability and FMLA programs, with a focus on effective management.
· Perform worker’s comp intake processing; support applicable leave of absence/return to work administration at the facility level.
· Participates in the investigation and resolution of ongoing employee relations issues, anticipates problems whenever possible, and develops, recommends, and initiates appropriate steps for resolution.
· Handles employee relations counseling, stay and exit interviews; analyzes data and makes recommendations to management for corrective action and improvements.
· Supports local Reward and Recognition initiatives.
· Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures supporting the continuous improvements in efficiency of the team and the HR services provided. Leads or supports projects and initiatives associated with improvements.
· Administer and coordinates various human resources plans and procedures and assists in the development, implementation and review of local policies and procedures.
· Participates in developing HR goals, objectives, and standard operating procedures.
· Maintains employment records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO/AAP/ADA regulations and requirements.
· Maintains and expands knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting HR management and business trends in the HR field.
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this position, you will need the following:
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
· 3+ years progressive, professional HR professionalt work experience, preferably in a manufacturing facility/environment
· Flex work schedule to support employees and managers on off-shifts as needed
· Demonstrated ability to objectively consult and coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues
· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast paced and demanding environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
