As Danfoss Indirect Tax Manager in the EMEA Shared Service Center within the Global Services organization, you will play a key role in how Danfoss manages VAT compliance across the EMEA region, helping our businesses operate with confidence, accuracy, and integrity. Your expertise ensures that regulatory obligations are met while enabling smooth and efficient business operations in a scalable structure.
You will act as a trusted representative of the Indirect Tax function within a global matrix organization, working closely with senior stakeholders and translating complex VAT topics into clear, practical guidance.
At the same time, you will lead and develop an indirect tax team being responsible for multiple legal entities in the EMEA region, creating a supportive environment where people can grow, collaborate, and deliver high‑quality results
In this role, you will be located in our office in Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead through leaders as the manager of team leads being responsible for indirect tax reporting and compliance system maintenance
- Lead the process of increasing the scope of the reporting team to cover a larger EMEA footprint
- Lead end‑to‑end VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting.
- Monitor VAT legislation changes and translate them into practical processes, systems, and controls - Including having a leading role in preparing for VIDA requirements and E-reporting in the EU
- Serve as the go‑to expert for complex VAT topics, supporting stakeholders with clear, business‑focused advice.
- Represent the Indirect Tax team within the matrix organization, coordinating with Finance, IT, and other functions on projects and system changes.
- Lead, support, and develop the Indirect Tax team, setting priorities, coaching team members, and fostering a positive, high‑performing culture.
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience in indirect tax / VAT, especially the EU-Directive, ideally in an international or shared service environment.
- Ability to lead, coordinate, and represent a tax team when engaging with senior stakeholders and within a matrix organization.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax topics in a clear and practical way.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required.
- Comfort working across borders and cultures in an international business environment.
- Education in Tax, Finance, or Accounting is an advantage, but we value relevant professional experience equally and do not require a specific degree.
